The successful candidate will fit the following skill set:. 5 or more years of UI design experience in the software industry. Success in leading the design effort for a number of complex web based applications. Experience designing web-based applications. Competence with a variety of user-centered design methods. Good understanding of web technologies and their pros and cons. Strong appreciation of the software development process (Agile experience an advantage). A strong interest in finding creative solutions to usability problems. Development of prototypes in support of new, complex designs and development of architecture for product prototypes. Ability to add dynamic functionality to a prototype, using methods such as Javascript, Perl, Ant, and/or Java. Provides Style Guide guidance on a full product and prepares materials for training and presentations. Experience of setting up and/or operating end user usability labs. Knowledge of IT resource management industry web requirements an advantage but not essential.
