Web Application User Interface Designer

Location: Chicago, ILURL: http://www.medtelligent.comDescription: Medtelligent Inc. is looking for talented individuals with experience developing rich internet applications (RIA). We are currently working on several large projects that utilize the latest RIA technologies to visualize and interact with data.

You will work with other senior developers and product/project managers to deliver a working application. The following RIA and web technologies will be used: Flex, JavaScript, CSS and AJAX. You will be primarily programming the user interface and will work with the client and internal developers to design the user interaction, program flow and look/feel.

This is a hands-on role at a small and rapidly growing company. We currently offer contracts based on project availability. We may consider full time employment opportunities for candidates with exceptional talent and experience.

Desired Skill and Experience

The following minimum skills are required:

• At least three years of professional experience, demonstrated by referrals or portfolio
• Comfortable and skilled at programming Flex, Flash, JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• Skilled at programming in at least one OO language: Python, Ruby/Rails, PHP
• Solid grasp of web programming including HTTP, client/server interaction, etc.
• Firm understanding of programming concepts including algorithms and data structures
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Will consider extremely talented individuals that do not have a degree or are in the process of seeking a degree
